SymComp v10 Calculator Software for Android

A calculator for symmetrical components based on Fortescue Theorem. The user can enter the voltage/current phasors and get the symmetrical components, or the opposite way. It works only for Android (version >=12) cellphones.

Privacy Policy

This software does not recolect, store, transfer any user data. It is just a calculator. Only the activation key is transferred to the subscription license server.

Test Protocol

Recommendation : After you install the software in your cellphone, it is recommended to repeat this test protocol to ensure the app is working well. Also it is recommended to repeat this test when there is an Android Operating System update or any time when there is change in the cellphone. Also, add at least one excercise test that you only know. If the calculator does not pass the test, stop using it and please report this problem to info@liberotecno.com .

TERMS OF USE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

1. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: The software is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors.

2. SUPPORT COMMITMENT: LiberoTecno E.I.R.L. is committed to the continuous improvement of the software. The user may report any errors or discrepancies. The developer will analyze the report and, if appropriate, work to correct it through future updates, without this implying an obligation to achieve immediate results.

3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LiberoTecno E.I.R.L. and its authors shall in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data or financial losses) arising out of the use of or inability to use this application. In any case, LiberoTecno E.I.R.L.’s total liability for any contractual claim shall be strictly limited to the amount paid by the user for the purchase of the application.

4. HIGH-RISK ENVIRONMENTS AND CROSS-CHECKING: This application has been designed as an assistance tool. Due to the critical nature of the electric power sector, this software should not be used in isolation for making final decisions. The user agrees to cross-check and verify the results obtained with other sources, regulations, or independent tools before taking any action. Use of the application without this cross-verification is at the user’s sole risk.

5. TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT AND THIRD PARTIES: The user acknowledges that the proper functioning of the application depends on variables beyond the developer’s control, such as Android operating system updates, modifications to third-party libraries, device hardware characteristics, or the presence of unauthorized malicious or cloned software.

The user acknowledges that consumer-grade smartphones are not hardware certified for use in high-electromagnetic-interference environments (such as electrical substations) and do not include error-correcting memory (ECC). Electromagnetic fields, switching transients, or random hardware bit-errors (including but not limited to cosmic-ray-induced soft errors) may affect the device's calculations in ways undetectable to the user, regardless of the specific software application running on it. It is recommended to use this application in a well-designed control room or other areas with low electromagnetic interference. Additionally, to verify the integrity of a result, the user should apply the inverse operation (e.g., converting the calculated symmetrical components back to phasors, or vice versa) and confirm it matches the original input, especially when the device has been exposed to strong electromagnetic fields near energized equipment.

6. MANDATORY VALIDATION PROTOCOL: It is the user’s sole responsibility to perform validation tests with known results before using the app. If the user detects any discrepancies, they must immediately suspend use of the app and report the issue to LiberoTecno E.I.R.L.

7. EXTERNAL LIBRARIES: SymComp is a proprietary product of LiberoTecno E.I.R.L. This software incorporates external open-source libraries and tools from third parties that are distributed under permissive licenses (such as the Apache License 2.0). A complete list of third-party software is included in the license file provided with the application and here third_party_symcomp.txt.

8. COLORS: This version of the software is configured in accordance with Peru’s electrical regulations (for phases A-B-C). Use in other countries and the interpretation of the displayed color codes are the sole responsibility of the user. The user can request a custom color change by paying an additional fee.

LiberoTecno E.I.R.L. reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the application following the publication of the changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

The laws and jurisdiction of Peru apply.
